Cache is officially back in Counter-Strike 2! After purchasing the rights to the map from the creator, FMPONE, Valve have released their own, completely original rendition of the classic map, and there have been many small changes made. The core layout is the same, but these 6 things are key gameplay changes that you might’ve missed in your first few games!
Popularized by French player “bodyy”, this wallbang has seemingly made its return in this version of Cache. It’s unknown if it’ll stick around, but as of right now, it’s possible to use an AWP to wallbang into the Z connector from T spawn. Simply line yourself up with the blue crate, aim at the rust texture as pictured, and it should line up perfectly for a headshot on unsuspecting CTs exiting Z at the beginning of a round.

The self-boost that players could use on the left side of the B site now has a large pipe blocking it. It’s possible to be completely hidden from the view of players entering the bombsite from B main in this position.

Portions of the wall in T middle that used to be metal doors have been replaced with glass windows, making wallbangs a little bit more effective when shooting through specific spots on the wall.

It’s very possible this is unintended. Players can now jump onto a little collision above a sign next to the squeaky door, and then onto a very tiny collision area where the lamp meets the wall. The lamp itself doesn’t have any collision with the player, which leads me to believe this is unintended, and likely to be patched in the near future. For now, it’s a neat self-boost that replaces the need to jump onto the squeaky door.

The lamp beside heaven on B has been removed.
Despite the presence of glass, it’s not possible to wallbang toward quad from inside squeaky, and vice versa. You can wallbang with the AWP through the concrete below the window, but anything above that will not pass through.
With Cache being added back into CS2, the Refrag Team is hard at work to update our training modes to accomodate the changes to the map. At the time of writing, Crossfire and NADR are live and ready to play, with 40 utility lineups already available.
