Refrag, CYBERSHOKE, or PRACC: CS2 Training Tool Comparison

Refrag, CYBERSHOKE, or PRACC: CS2 Training Tool Comparison

There are a plethora of routes to take in the pursuit of improving your Counter-Strike 2 skill. Even since the transition from Global Offensive just under a year ago, the number of options available to users is immense. In this blog post, we’ll be covering the features and functionality of 3 prominent CS2 training tools: CYBERSHOKE, Yprac and Refrag.

CYBERSHOKE

CYBERSHOKE is a collection of CS2 servers running a large variety of server plugins. Plugins range from the conventional Retake game mode, to movement based modes like KZ and Surf, and even mini-games. At the moment they do not have any training modes to help improve your aim in a solo setting, however for training in a multiplayer setting they are a viable option. This does mean that you can’t set a training mode exactly to your specifications, as the players you’ll be facing can be of varying levels of skill.

CYBERSHOKE has a variety of server locations available to players, spanning across North America and Eruope. Servers are free to join, but signing into the website with your Steam account is required.

Server population can vary, especially in North America. Judging by server player numbers at the time of writing, it may be harder to get the requisite amount of players in for certain modes, such as Retakes and Executes. In Europe however, servers were more populated during the day, with multiple being near, or at capacity.

CYBERSHOKE offers both a “Lite” and “Premium” subscription tier, priced at $2.00 and $5.50 a month respectively. Benefits range from reserved slots on servers and the removal of ads, to special clan tags and “unique events” at the Premium tier.

PRACC

PRACC features a collection of CS2 servers running a slightly smaller variety of server plugins. Signing into the website to use the services is required.

PRACC also offers private servers for custom practice modes like Aimbotz and Arena, intended to train your aim. DM servers are also available to the public. However, for CS2 aim training, their suite of tools seem to be limited to 4 main modes. Prefire, Barrage, Aimbotz, and Tactics. They offer this at no-cost, but only after users play on PRACC DM servers for at least 60 minutes. To immediately get access to all services, they offer a VIP membership that costs $5 a month.

PRACC also offers the ability to search for and play scrims on their platform in a variety of games, not just Counter-Strike 2.

Refrag

Refrag is a subscription-based training tool that provides on-demand access to a private server running a large variety of practice mods. These mods can also be played alongside friends who do not need a subscription.

Included in every subscription is Refrag Coach, which provides automatic analysis of your played matches, and guides your practice based on what you need to work on. Matches on FACEIT, Premier, and Renown can be used for analysis.

Custom aim training modes include the likes of Crossfire, Prefire, and the Recoil Trainer. Utility training is possible using NADR, which has hundreds of pre-loaded grenades, covering all essential lineups. Many of Refrag’s practice modes can be played with friends and teammates, even if they don’t have a subscription.

Refrag’s Bootcamp combines its training mods in one place for map-focused, guided training. For strategy practice, Refrag offers the Refrag Academy at their Competitor Tier, featuring lessons on strategy from the likes of CS2 pros EliGE and Pimp.

Subscriptions start at $5.40 a month for the “Player” Tier, offering access to all in-game training mods. The next tier, “Competitor,” costs $11.40 and includes everything in the player tier as well as the Refrag Academy, Scrim mod, 2D demo viewer, Utility Hub, as well as detailed stats for your aim training.

A tier for your whole team is available for $61 a month, offering individual access to everything listed above for up to 7 players concurrently.

CS2 Practice Tools FAQ

Which service is best if I want to train my aim alone?Refrag and PRACC are the stronger choices for solo aim training. Refrag offers custom modes like Crossfire, Prefire, and Recoil Trainer, while PRACC has Aimbotz, Prefire, Barrage, and Tactics. CYBERSHOKE, on the other hand, focuses more on multiplayer plugin-based servers and doesn’t currently provide solo aim training tools.
Do I need to pay to use these services?CYBERSHOKE: Free to join, with optional Lite ($2/month) and Premium ($5.50/month) subscriptions.

PRACC: Free to use after spending 60 minutes on their DM servers, or $5/month for VIP access to everything immediately.

Refrag: Fully subscription-based, starting at $5.40/month for the Player tier, with higher tiers for more advanced features.
Which platform has the most populated servers?CYBERSHOKE has the largest active community, especially in Europe where servers are often full during the day. In North America, server population can be inconsistent. PRACC servers are more specialized and less populated overall since many tools are private. Refrag uses private servers you spin up yourself, so population isn’t a concern.
Can I play with friends on these platforms? On CYBERSHOKE, you join public servers together.

On PRACC, some practice tools and scrims can be done with friends.

On Refrag, you can invite friends into your private server—even if they don’t have a subscription.
Which service is better for team practice?Refrag is the most team-oriented, offering features like Bootcamp, the Scrim mod, and Academy lessons. PRACC also supports team scrims across multiple games. CYBERSHOKE is less about structured team training and more about casual or competitive plugin-based play.
Do I need to sign in with Steam?Yes. Both CYBERSHOKE and PRACC require you to sign in with your Steam account to use their services. Refrag also links to your Steam account for match analysis and server access.
Which service offers coaching or analysis tools?Only Refrag offers integrated analysis with its Coach feature. It reviews your FACEIT, Premier, or Renown matches, then guides you toward specific training modes. PRACC and CYBERSHOKE don’t provide automated coaching or analysis at this time.
