Refrag Trial Codes: Where to Get Them & How to Redeem

Refrag is a paid-subscription service, but there are a couple of ways to experience what it has to offer without any strings attached.

To redeem a Refrag code of any kind, navigate to play.refrag.gg/redeem. Sign in with Steam, paste it in, and you’re done. No billing details or credit card required.

Where do I redeem a Refrag trial code?

Every Refrag code can be redeemed in the same place.

1. Head to play.refrag.gg/redeem
2. Sign in with Steam. If you’ve never used Refrag before, this creates an account for you. It’s free, and no payment details are required.
3. Paste your code into the field and hit redeem.
4. You’re in. Access activates immediately, Head to the settings, link your match token and FACEIT profile if applicable, and get training!

If you’re already logged in, head to the Settings page and scroll down to the Play section. There’s a field where you can enter in a code.

What does a Refrag trial code actually get you?

A Refrag trial code grants you full Competitor tier access for 3 days. It’s the same exact experience that a paying subscriber gets, for 72 hours.

That means:

• Full access to Coach, which analyzes your real matches played and gives you customized Routines and actionable insights, pointing you at where you need the most improvement
• Crossfire, Prefire, Angle Trainer, and other modes for training aim and crosshair placement
• NADR and the Utility Hub to find and drill any utility lineup in the game
• Bootcamp for guided, map-specific training that tells you what to work on
• Refrag Academy for pro-led strategy content
• Scrim servers with demos, along with the rest of the multiplayer-enabled modes

There’s no payment information involved anywhere in this process. You don’t enter a card to start the trial, and it doesn’t convert into a subscription when the clock runs out. There’s nothing sitting in your account waiting to bill you, and nothing you need to remember to cancel.

How do I get a free Refrag trial code?

Refrag codes are consistently handed out on our social channels as well as our Discord server.

Discord is where codes get put most consistently, and it’s also where our support team and community live.

X (@OfficialRefrag) is the other big one. We post trial codes there in batches, first come first served. Turn on notifications if you want a realistic shot at one, because a batch of codes can be picked clean within minutes of going up.

Our other socials get drops too. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube all see occasional drops, and our Linktree collects the lot in one place if you’d rather just follow everything at once.

Event giveaways are worth watching for as well. Around big moments in the CS2 calendar we run larger giveaways. During the BLAST.tv Austin Major for instance, we gave out 7-day trials rather than the usual 3. Another reason to keep a close eye on our socials!

How is a friend code different from a trial code?

Friend codes are the other kind of code floating around, and they’re longer in duration at 7 days instead of 3.

Friend codes are generated monthly by Competitor tier subscribers, and there’s no cooldown on usage.

If you’re already a Refrag subscriber: your Competitor tier subscription includes one friend code every month, and you’ll find it on your Settings page. A fair few subscribers have no idea it’s there. It doesn’t roll over, so if you’re not using it, you’re leaving a week of free Refrag on the table every month. Pull a teammate in and train together.

If you’re not a subscriber: ask around. If anyone in your team or your Discord subscribes to Refrag, they’ve almost certainly got an unused friend code sitting in their settings.

Why isn’t my Refrag code working?

Four things cause almost every failed redemption:

You’ve redeemed a trial code in the last 6 months. Trial codes are limited to one per account every six months. This is the big one, and it catches people who tried Refrag a while back and forgot.

Someone else already claimed it. Batch drops on X are first come first served. If you got the code from a public post, there’s a decent chance it was gone before you got there.

There’s a typo or an extra space. Copying out of Discord or a tweet often picks up trailing whitespace. Retype it manually if the paste doesn’t take.

You’re not signed in. You need to be logged in with Steam before the redeem field will do anything.
