We know it’s only been two months since the last leaderboard reset, so this one’s coming rather quickly compared to the duration of the previous one. However, this is for a good reason! We’ve added some major changes in our backend to allow us to be more flexible with our leaderboards. This allows us to add more modes, and challenges to the leaderboards on the fly.
New Modes for Season 3
The one downside is that, to enable these new features, we have to do another leaderboard reset. This means that today will be the start of Season 3! This season will bring two new modes to our competitive board. Blitz, and Spray Transfer.
Blitz is a crossfire-like mode in which five opponents will peek you in rapid succession. You’ll have to take them out quickly as you progress through the arenas.
Spray Transfer forces you to have your recoil control down pat. In these arenas can’t move, and the round will only count if you don’t release your fire button. This while three enemies will peek at you in rapid succession. If you can’t handle your spray, you’ll find yourself having to redo the arena very quickly. This mode tests you on a completely different skillset compared to Crossfire, Prefire, and Blitz, so we are very keen to see who will end up dominating these leaderboards.
Season 2 highlights
Of course, with season 2 ending, there are some highlights we would like to show.
There are a few Refraggers that we regularly see at the top of our Leaderboards. Players like gamble, VECTIZZ, and HAMBOOGA, and it’s nice to see that they have managed to keep their dominating streak, at least on some of the maps. At the same time, there have been many new names populating the top scores as well. Vertigo’s Prefire board mostly has new names with p0nti dominating the top spot, and ✝ sp1ke, taking the lead with a major time advantage on Inferno.
With the two new modes and a leaderboard that’s wiped clean. It’s time for you to mark your spot in Refrag history! So start a server, warm-up, and head into our competitive mode by typing .comp.
