How To Refrag Your Way Out Of Silver (Part 3)

In the second of our Saving Silver series, we discussed a handful of specific training modes designed to target common weaknesses in the gameplay of your typical Silver player. Those of you who have put into action the advice given in both that article, and the one before, will undoubtedly already have seen an uptick in your performance in the server.

Today, in our final article in this series, we’ll give you the final push to get over the line and get you out of Silver once and for all. So, without further ado, let’s jump into the first of our final trio of scenarios, and get you back on the training grind.

Picture the scene: You’re lurking behind enemy lines. The opposing players have no idea you’re behind them. Hearing the footsteps of your unsuspecting prey in the distance, you swing. You spray your AK. And keep spraying. Almost all the bullets miss, and your opponent turns around and one-taps you. That’s got to be one of the worst feelings in CS. Let us fix it for you.

Recoil Trainer

Refrag’s Recoil Trainer mode is an absolute game-changer if you want to seriously improve your mechanical skill. Recoil control is a must for any semi-serious CS2 player, and has always been one of the defining skills that separates the good from the great. Being confident in your ability to spray more than a couple of bullets accurately, from any gun, is a huge psychological bonus as well. It means you feel comfortable in your fights, no matter the weapon at hand.

As our Wiki states, ‘our Recoil Trainer is unlike any other recoil trainer you have seen’. This is because our Recoil mode analyzes your spray control, updates based on the weapon you have, and can have perfect spray control toggled on, so it will actually show you what it looks like to be spraying like an aim demon.

A few minutes in the Recoil Trainer each day, and you’ll be landing every bullet of your spray in no time, no matter the situation, distance, or weapon. With a spray like that, you’ll be flying up the ranks every time you play, and being stuck in Silver will be nothing but a bad memory.

For our next scenario, we’re going to look at a slightly higher-level concept that will take your gameplay to the next level. Imagine the following situation: you’re playing behind cover, ready to swing your unsuspecting opponent. Unsure precisely where they are, you jiggle once, spot them, and then swing back out to kill them. Except your crosshair isn’t precisely on them, and they destroy you. Ouch. Let us help you do better.

Repeek

Refrag’s Repeek mode is yet another wonderful user-generated training mode. The idea is simple – learn how to effectively repeek any angle. Pick a map and you’ll be placed in various positions on the map, behind cover. Jiggle peek, spot the enemy, repeek them, and kill them. It’s that simple, and that difficult. Adding this training mode into your CS2 practice routine will guarantee you a level of comfort in repeeking, and confidence knowing that, when you swing for the kill, you’ll get that frag.

The ability to properly repeek after getting your enemy’s position is incredibly important when it comes to winning fights in all manner of situations. Sometimes it all comes down to crosshair placement and a confident, well-drilled swing. If you’ve hit that exact shot on Repeek hundreds of times, you’ll know that you can hit the same shot in a real game. And you never know – that repeek might just be the last fight, the last kill, before ranking up and getting out of Silver.

For our final addition to your training, we’re going to step back and take a broader approach to your warmup routine. You’ve practiced prefiring. You know all the common angles. You’ve spent hours grinding recoil control, and you’ve learned precisely how to swing correctly. It’s time to put it all into use. Welcome, finally, to Deathmatch.

Deathmatch

Refrag offers a variety of public servers for free, and paid users.

Playing Deathmatch is one of the oldest, most tried-and-tested methods of warming up your Counter-Strike gameplay. Being forced into taking constant gunfights at random points throughout any given map sharpens your skillset in real-time, allowing you to identify the areas of your mechanics that feel like they need more focused practice.

Refrag’s Deathmatch mode allows you to do one of two things: join a community deathmatch server to practice your aim in fights against random people of any level, or host your own private deathmatch with friends. Either way, using Refrag’s Deathmatch will allow you to lean on all you’ve learned in the Saving Silver series and hone it in real-time combat.

So, after three articles and nine Refrag training modes, it’s finally time for our last piece of advice. You’ve practiced it all, and are ready to finally get yourself out of Silver. So, what’s our last bit of guidance for you? Get in a game and grind. Remember Refrag when you’re a Global Elite superstar, and have fun!
