NEW Vertigo Boosts You Need to Know

Vertigo got a heavy facelift in Counter-Strike 2’s most recent update that dropped on May 23rd. New passageways were added and old ones were sealed up, creating ample opportunity for new boosts. In this blog post, we’ll show you a few of the ones that are imperative to know if you want an edge on your opponent.

Ramp side of Crane into Elevator

This boost can truly turn the tide of a round all on its own. It’s relatively safe and gives you visibility all the way into CT Spawn through Elevator.

To execute this boost, a player has to be crouched on the raised edge of the crane. This will give you that extra bit of visibility required to see into Elevator. The player being boosted must also stand on that raised edge to crouch jump on top.

Behind Sandbags into Ramp

While risky, this boost is a great way to catch off opponents in a one-off round with a hero rifle. To execute this boost properly, the player on the bottom must be stood on the very edge of the metal walkway on the other side of the metal end piece, not on top. This ensures that they remain unseen from those coming up ramp. Additionally, this ensures the player on the top can tuck, making this boost completely invisible to enemies coming up ramp. Keep this one in your back pocket.

Boosts behind Headshot

With the addition of the new metal walkway leading from Heaven all the way across A site, we’ve been given ample opportunity for new ways to attack from the shoulders of a teammate. Here are our favorites.

CT Side into Ramp and Short

Perfect for mixing up angles of attack, this boost can be done to keep eyes on both A Short and A Ramp. All you have to do is stand on the wood railing on the newly added metal walkway and boost up. Simple and effective.

T Side after-plant

Similar to the one above used for CTs, if you have the heaven area controlled, you can boost in the same spot as before as a T to secure elevator in an after-plant. Cheeky.

Boost onto Headshot

This boost was possible before, but with all the other new boost possibilities, this one deserves another mention. It’s risky, but while the smokes are up and the CTs are spamming them, this boost can certainly catch a few players with their pants down. Just simply have a teammate crouch at the end of headshot and crouch jump up.

Craft your own boosts using Refrag!

Want to find more boosts on Vertigo, and other CS2 maps? It’s incredibly easy to craft your own clever head-stacks with Refrag.

In an empty server running the NADR mod, you can use the .botboost command to spawn a bot directly below you. Simply go to a position you’d like to test a boost in and type the command.

To see what it would look like from the enemy POV, from the top of the boost, aim at the spot you would peek from as the enemy and type .bot. Then, type .bring to teleport that bot to your current position. You’re now free to noclip out from the boost and see what it looks like from the enemy POV. For a complete list of commands, check the Refrag Wiki.
